Our exclusive Whisky Making Experience is not just an event; it’s a journey into the heart of crafting the perfect amber spirit.
Join us for:
- Exploring the malting process of barley.
- Milling grains into a Grist for brewing.
- Immersing yourself in the mashing process to create a flavorful wort.
- Transferring the wort into the fermenter and pitching the yeast.
- Participating in the spirit run, experiencing the art of heads, hearts, and tails cuts and capturing the New Make Spirit ready for aging.
- Discuss the role of aging in barrels and the influence they have.
- The experience lasts between 4-5 hours.

Enjoy 20% off purchases of Distichon Whisky and Puss & Mew products on the day. A bottle is not included in the experience. We’ll contact you when the whisky you helped make is available to purchase, with a discount offered at that time. The new make spirit must mature in a barrel for at least two years before it can be called whisky. Barrelling may take place a few months after your experience while we collect enough new make spirit to fill the barrel, so the two-year ageing period starts from barrelling, rather than the date of your class. Release timing will depend on maturation.

I received this “Ultimate Whisky Making Experience” as a Fathers Day gift, what a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The event started at 11.30ish with a meet and greet with the owners Deb & Brett, a cup of coffee and a short video on the background of “Puss & Mews” and the principles of distilling Whisky. Both Brett, Deb and the interior of the venue, have a welcoming, warm & friendly atmosphere. The hosts have created an experience that allows those in attendance to look, listen and contribute with the process from start to its completion in a “hands on” contribution, to suit your own level of involvement. Highly recommend getting a lift to & from the venue. The premium whisky samples were top notch, the charcuterie and cheese board, followed by a great mix of savoury dishes, topped off with another sample of your chosen premium name whisky, followed by a whisky cocktail of your choice was simply the best. …
Brett and Deb hosted a whisky master class where we learned about how a single malt whiskey is made. It was a great experience with hands on teaching moments and great food with a tasting selection as well. Highly recommend, Great day out or as a gift for a loved one.
