Nestled in the heart of Melbourne’s East, Puss & Mew is a boutique distillery, handcrafting small-batch, artisanal gin, whisky and spirits with passion and patience.

Each serving, whether straight, over ice, mingled with your mixer of choice, or mixed into a cocktail, embodies a meticulous distillation process involving steeping, vapour infusion, and compounding, resulting in a sophisticated and well-rounded spirit.

Curious about the genesis of our name? It harks back to an enterprising gin-slinger from the 18th Century who, to sidestep liquor licensing rules, created the world’s first vending machine. Some call him a crook. We call him a bloody genius!

At Puss & Mew, we harmonize traditional wisdom with contemporary techniques to craft our gin. We honor the distinct characteristics of each botanical, unlocking their individual flavors and their symphony when combined.

Our craft process involves three key stages:

Steeping : This involves immersing botanicals in hot water for infusion.
Vapour Infusion : We insert botanicals in the distillation path, allowing vapour to extract their essences.
Compounding : Post-distillation, we soak botanicals in the spirit for a deeper flavor profile.

This intricate process, drawing from our handpicked native and international ingredients, ensures each sip delivers a burst of unique botanical harmony.
